Pathological findings of umbilical cord

Abstract: The importance of the compartment which includes placenta and umbilical cord is emphasized in this paper because until relatively recently little attention was paid to umbilical cord lesions. This presentation includes a broad spectrum of umbilical cord abnormalities by the clinical point of view of recent studies. The analysis of cord abnormalities should be done very carefully, especially in the case of poor fetal outcome.
