Abstract: Ovulation induction is used both for “in vivo” and “in vitro” fertilization. There are several types of treatment used for the past 40 years, each of them trying to recreate human physiology; there efficiency in treating anovulatory defects has become better over time. The present article reviews the most used medication for ovulation induction, the rational of their choice and current scientific data regarding their efficiency in obtaining pregnancy.
